What to do when you don’t like something

Attention is a powerful expression of love.
If you love a person or thing, it’s natural to converge the rays of your focus on the person or thing, but in our daily lives, there are lots of competing interests and distractions so you may be very deliberate in choosing who and what to direct this high currency to.
If you do not want a thing, if you do not like something, one of the practical things to do is take away it’s only power, your attention.
In training your attention, you reclaim your power to live a more deliberate and purposeful life.
And as Sarah McLean would put it, you will no longer experience life as something that is happening to you, instead, you will know that life is happening for you.
